About Me

I am a working Civil Engineer with Master’s Degree from National University of Singapore (NUS). Currently, I am supervising a residential development of nearly 1300 apartment units in Singapore.

I am a person of very diverse interests mainly due to my belief that to address the future political & developmental challenges of growing complex and heterogeneous society it’s important to maximize the breadth of knowledge. My readings and other engagement interest areas are ranging from Social science to psychology, corporate governance to political governance, Engineering to Data Science & technology. I have developed and now working on to maintain my reading and running habit to push up limits of my potential. As a matter of my personal conduct and overall personality, two different personality assessment systems assessed me as a protagonist & the precisionist.

While on assignment,  I focus on the possibility of  process innovation where I can get my team to use a different approach so we can improve our quality, productivity, and accountability. In the construction industry, I believe, we are always in a position where we can initiate & exercise a more productive and safer approach to our routine activity.

My Job Scope

As a Resident Engineer for a public housing project, I am providing standing supervision as per requirement of Building Control Act of Singapore and as per requirements of Housing & Development Board to ensure that consultant’s approved design and process complied at the site. This further requires me to have various inspections, and witness testing and commissioning conduct by respective specialists. To ensure a complete accountable system, I maintain that all inspection forms, Variations orders, certifications of testing equipment and final reports of all tests conducted on various materials are in order and available for any instant audit. Considering “Safety is everyone’s responsibility” actively monitor & contribute for a true implementation of safety rules as guided by various regulations. Ensure that all site issues are resolved appropriately well in time to ensure timely completion of the project. Putting my efforts to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with latest approved drawings and specifications.
